In which a freaking-out was nearly avoided.
So my manager’s manager’s manager was running a presentation off my laptop last night, which was being broadcast to 200+ teammates in offices across the globe. At one point, I realized that I had left my IM application open, so I’d like to openly thank all of my friends for not saying anything vulgar or embarrassing.
If you have a kind of strange sense of humor, like I do, the next time a friend starts a conversation with something crass during work hours, go for something like this:
Friend: “You know, I’m actually kind of into 2 Girls 1 Cup.”
You: “Um. Giving a powerpoint, forgot to close Adium. Sorry about that, team.”
[quit app], [later…]
Friend: “I HATE YOU SO MUCH.”
